Los Ayudantes is an educational support program for children from low-income homes in Redwood City, many of them English language learners.
By providing elementary and middle school students in-classroom reading and writing tutoring, after-school book clubs that promote literacy, Los Ayudantes' volunteers help children succeed in school and enable them to navigate the world with more confidence. Tutors assist students with everything from basic reading skills to critical thinking, and provide children a community of positive adults who believe they can succeed.
