Episcopal Impact Fund Planned Giving Webinar 2022: Create a Lasting Legacy

What is your legacy?

Our connections and sense of community have never felt more important. Relationships with our family, friends and the organizations we care about define us, sustain us and offer hope in difficult times.

Join Episcopal Impact Fund and our speaker, the Rev. Richard Schaper, estate planning specialist, for an informative conversation about planned giving strategies and options.

Thursday, April 7th at 5 p.m. via Zoom

Topics include

  • using what you have no use for to make life better for others

  • ways to include both your children and charity

  • getting guaranteed life income back from your gift

Whether you’ve already contemplated a planned gift or are just being introduced to the concept, this session will be helpful!

Register now at www.episcopalimpact.org/planned-giving-webinar-reg and put your beliefs in action.

About the Rev. Richard Schaper

The Rev. Richard Schaper has been a professional financial and gift planner since 1996. He served for 14 years as the Planned Giving Officer of the Episcopal Diocese of California, a role in which he has served the Church Divinity School of the Pacific since 1999. He is an assisting priest at Grace Cathedral and St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, Belvedere.

Rev. Schaper studied Politics, Philosophy and Economics as a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University. He also studied philosophy and religion at Colgate University, theology at the University of Chicago, ethics at Yale University, financial planning at Golden Gate University and the management of nonprofit organizations at the University of San Francisco. Growing up Lutheran, then worshipping with Quakers and zazen training with Zenki Shibayama Roshi prepared him for nine years as a Benedictine monk at Weston Priory.

Richard’s experiences as a monk, hospital chaplain, parish pastor, and certified financial planner have prepared him for a pastoral and spiritual perspective in financial and estate planning.
