Where the Church meets the streets — that’s where Jesus is. And that’s where we are called to be.

For nearly 50 years, Episcopal Impact Fund has stood with Bay Area neighbors facing poverty and housing instability. We believe faith isn't just practiced in the pews — it's lived in the world.

We're inviting churches and ministries in the Diocese of California to apply for a Congregational Poverty Relief Grant of up to $5,000. Our grants support programs in food insecurity, safety net services, justice and safety, education, and healthcare — and we welcome innovative new approaches as well. What matters most is genuine relationship and solidarity, not charity alone.
To be eligible, your program must:
Congregational Involvement: Your congregation manages the program and funds, with active member participation through volunteering, governance, or in-kind support.
Open Access: The program serves anyone in poverty, regardless of church membership or faith affiliation.
Local Impact: The program serves people living in Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San Francisco, or San Mateo Counties, or the City of Palo Alto.
🕒 Deadline to apply: Friday, July 17, 2026, 11:59PM PST
Let’s continue building bridges — between parishes and neighborhoods, between privilege and poverty, between hearts and hands. Because where the Church meets the streets, that’s where transformation begins. Let’s work together.
