Holy Child & St. Martin's Feeding Ministry Keeps Daly City Families Fed

Holy Child and St. Martin Episcopal Church runs a community feeding ministry that channels food to families across Daly City, powered by partnerships with groups like Peninsula Food Runners, Jagalchi, Trader Joe's, Verkada Company Kitchen, local seafood providers, and Lucky grocery stores. The church also opens its doors after school, giving neighborhood kids a safe place to land, and lends its parish hall to other service organizations working in the city — making it a hub for the wider community, not just its congregation.

Raphael House Expands Capacity by 50% with New City Partnership

On September 23, Raphael House marked a major milestone: San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie and District 3 Supervisor Danny Sauter joined staff to cut the ribbon on a newly renovated third floor of the organization's Residential Shelter — the result of its first multi-year operational contract with the city's Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing. The expansion adds eight rooms and increases the number of families Raphael House can house by 50%, all while keeping its signature low ratio of eight families per case manager. Mayor Lurie noted that 88% of families who stay at Raphael House exit to stable housing, support that continues through the Bridge Program until a family's youngest child turns 18.
